David SLOAN to Richard CHASTEN-B. Sale
N. Carolina
Duplin County
Received of William CHASTEN the sum of five hundred & fifty dollars in full for 
a certain negro girl names PHILLIS which negro I by these presents bargain sell 
& convey unto said William, aged about sixteen, the right of which negro I by 
these presents warrant & defend unto the said William CHASTEN his heirs & 
assigns, this April 26th, 1841.
