Willis HINES to son Frederick HINES both of Duplin Co., NC- 55 Acres
28 Feb 1828

To all to whom these present shall come, Greetings, Know ye that I, Willis HINES 
of the County of Duplin & State aforesaid for the natural love & Affection I 
bear unto my Son Frederick HINES of the same place have given, granted, 
conveyed, transferred, setover & confirmed unto my Son Frederick HINES his heirs 
or assigns forever a certain piece tract or parcel of land situated lying & 
being in the State & County aforesaid on the N. Side of North East & on the S se 
of Cabbin Branch, Beginning at a pine how own Corner & runs N 37 E 196 poles to 
a lightwood tree in his field, thence S 64 E 51 poles to a pine in a meadow, 
thence S 25 W 96 poles to a pine, thence to the beginning containing Fifty five 
acres be the same more or less. To have & to hold to him he said Frederick HINES 
his heirs assigns all the aforesaid Lands — bargained premises with all the 
privileges & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining free & 
clear of all manner of encumbrances whatever from me or any other person or 
persons claiming or to claim by from or under— or my heirs to him the sad. 
Frederick HINES his heirs or assigns forever. In witness whereof I have hereunto 
set my hand & Seal this 28th Feb. 1828.
