David John Middleton, was born 1 Apr 1803 in Duplin County, the son of David 
Middleton Dorothy Ann Maxwell.  He was first married to Catherine Carr 
Pearsall on 6 Feb 1849 in Duplin County.  She died 30 Sep 1852.  He then 
married her sister, Lucy Jane Pearsall on 2 Nov 1853 in Duplin County.  Lucy 
Jane Pearsall Nicholson, was the widow of James Lloyd Nicholson.  David John 
Middleton died 21 Feb 1904 near Warsaw, Duplin County, NC.  He is buried in 
the J. M. Middleton cemetery near Warsaw, Duplin County, NC.
