Goldsboro Messenger 5 Feb 1885
At the residence of the bride's father in Duplin County on the 28th of January, 
Mr. Edgar Swinson to Miss Dora Whitfield, T. E. Stroud, Esq. officiating. There 
were in attendance Mr. Charley Swinson and Miss Hattie Jones, Major Ivey and Miss 
Mollie Jones.
