Barbee, of Durham Special to The Observer Durham, March 5 - John Wesley Barbee, prominent and well-known farmer, who lived six miles from Durham, died yesterday afternoon about 4 o'clock. He had been in declining health for some time, but had been confined to his bed but four days. Heart trouble was the direct cause of his death. Mr. Barbee left a wife and three children, his children being Mrs. S.M. Suitt, Mrs. A.M. Carpenter and Lonnie Barbee. There are three brothers, F.M. Barbee, this city; Gray Barbee, who lives near East Durham, and William Barbee, of Raleigh. there is one sister, Mrs. W. T. Watts, of this city. He was 70 years of age and was well-to-do, owning considerable property in this city.
