Barbee of Durham Correspondences of The Observer Durham, June 27, - The remains of F.M. Barbee, who died Saturday morning, were buried yesterday afternoon from his home in the Barbee burying-ground near Fishdam. Mr. Barbee was known of everybody in Durham, being prominent in politics and once a merchant of Durham and his country home vicinity. He had been very critically ill a number of weeks and his death had been expected a long time. He was an unusually bright man, reputed to have been the best story teller who had ever lived here and everybody liked him. He was 84 years of age and leaves seven children. Additional Comments: Mr. Barbee's full name was Francis Marion Barbee and he was married to Madora Norwood.
