E. T. GUNTER

Final rites for Edward Trice Gunter, 85, of the Lakewood Park Community were
held this morning at 11o'clock at the Hall-Wynne Funeral Chapel, with Dr. Trela
D. Collins officiating. Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mr. Gunter, a Spanish American War veteran, died yesterday morning. He was a
native of Durham County and was engaged in the grocery business here for many
years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. A. H. McDonald, Jr., and Mrs. Raymond
Hardison, both of Durham; five sons, J. C. Gunter of Reidsville, E.T. Gunter,
Jr., J. W. Gunter Jr., W.L. Gunter and B.L. Gunter, all of Durham; two sisters,
Mrs. J.W. Stone, and Mrs. J. Ed Pickett, both of Durham; and several
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
