Daughter of George and Mary Terry Tilley (both deceased)
Married John L. Scott of Durham in 1893, he died 1936
Moved to Rose of Sharon community upon marriage
Member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church
Survivors: 7 sons, James W., Wyatt L., John L. Jr., Joe G., Clyde R., Bryant C. and
Walter W. Scott
2 daughters, Mrs. Lillian A. Browning and Mrs. Sophie B. Brame all of Durham County
1 sister, Mrs. A. L. Holloway of Durham, 1 brother, John Tilley of Durham County
9 grandchildren
