Died Wednesday morning at Watts Hospital
An unsuccessful operation preceded his death in which a leg was amputated to stop
infection

Son of the late George Washington Tilley and Mary Magdalene Terry Tilley

Survivors: Widow, Miss Lora Wood; 6 sons, John Sprunt, Louis T., Talmadge M.,
Chester L., Preston R., and Coy Tilley
3 daughters, Mrs. Clyde Walker of Durham, Mrs. Ann Johnson of Florida and
Mrs. Walter Wilkerson of Cedar Grove; 1 sister, Mrs. A. L. Holloway of Durham
