Age 42 and former resident of Durham, died yesterday morning
He had been ill several years
He was well known in Durham and Person counties
Survivors: 3 sisters: Mrs. R.H. Delehite, Durham; Mrs. Will Nutt of Caswell 
County and Mrs. Mose Cash of Chatham County
Father: C.T. Townsend, Chatham County
1 brother: F.A. Townsend of Vanceboro
Funeral Service: Friday morning in Beaumont, Texas
Interment: Beaumont, Texas
