Robert and Ann (Hickman) were married Dec. 10th, 1750 1751. Elias Bryan son of Robert and Ann Bryan was born Sept. 14, 1751 1799. Elias Bryan and Rosanna Holmes Everett were married January (illegible) 1799 1800. Henry Bryan son of Elias and Rosanna Bryan was born Nov. 15, 1800 1803. Elizabeth Brown Bryan - daughter of Elias and Rosanna was born January 16, 1803 1805. Robert Bryan son of Elias and Rosanna Bryan was born Dec. 20, 1805 1807. Elias Bryan, Jr., son of Elias and Rosanna was born Aug. 27, 1807 1814. Mary Hickman Bryan, daughter of Elias and Rosanna was born Februrary 9, 1814 1821. Elias Bryan departed this life Monday the 10th of September, in the year of our Lord 1821. Elias Bryan died at his home "Oak Forest" in Edgecombe County, afterwards owned by Mrs. Archibald Braswell 1850. His wife Rosanna Holmes Everett Bryan died while on a visit to her daughter Mrs. Redmond Bunn near Rocky Mount, N.C., Nash County Thursday, March 16th, 1850 Henry Bryan their oldest son, married Mary Parker Bell of Edgecombe County and their only child Sarah married Dr. Franklin Hart of Edgecombe County 1818. Elizabeth Brown Bryan married Harrod Pittman of Edgecombe County had only two daughters to live. Mary Elizabeth, who married William Theophilus Dortch of Nash County and Rose Ann, who married Thomas N. Gautier of Marianna, Florida Robert Bryan married Harriett Dortch of Nash County Elias Bryan married Anna House of Chatham County, 2nd Katherine M. Kay of Harnett County Mary Hickman Bryan married Redmund Bunn of Nash County Robert and Ann Bryan lived in the Hamilton and Conoho sections of Halifax now Martin County. They had three sons - Elias, John and Needham. Robert and his sons John and Needham were in the Revolutionary Army. John was killed in battle. Robert Bryan's will was written Dec. 16, 1773 leaving his property to his wife and three sons, Elias, John and Needham but he lived until 179---. Fought through the Revolutionary War as a private.
