Born April 13, 1876 at Parkersburg, W. Va.
Educated in Colorado School of Mines 1893-1897.
Entered railway service Jan. 1, 1899, as instrumentman Ohio River Rd, since 
which he has been consecutively 1900 to 1901, assistant resident engineer West 
Virginia Short Line Rd;
1901 to 1902, assistant division engineer Ohio River division Baltimore & 
Ohio Rd;
1902 to 1903, assistant division engineer Cleveland division same road;
1903 to 1906, inspector of maintenance same road;
1906 to 1911, assistant engineer Atlantic Coast Line Rd;
1911 to date, engineer of roadway same road at Rocky Mount, NC.
