Educated in the common schools.
Entered railway service Sept. 14, 1897, since which he has been consecutively 
to Oct. 15, 1898, messenger local freight office and general superintendent's 
office Atlantic Coast Line Rd;
Oct. 15, 1898 to Jan. 1, 1910, file clerk and other positions in freight 
traffic deparment;
Jan. 1, 1910 to Nov. 21, 1911, chief clerk;
Nov. 21, 1911 to date, assistant general freight agent;
entire service with the Atlantic Coast Line Rd.
