Edgecombe County, NC - Jackson Cemeteries (2) File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Tommy Colbert There are at least two Jackson cemeteries in Edgecombe County, NC. The largest and probably oldest is located off Vestal Road and Arlington St. near Rocky Mount. Access is possible from either street on farm paths that are in bad shape. The Rocky Mount cemetery is listed in the WPA survey of 1938. It indicates about 140 markers at that time. There have been at least 15 people buried there since 1940. The smaller cemetery is between Rocky Mount and Pinetops on state road 1126. I believe that the Jacksons in these cemeteries are related but do not know the connection at this time.
