February 1822; Died 1-20-1889 "To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die." Martha A., wife of Dickerson Ruffin, b. 3-1-1828; d. 8-27-1903 "She was a kind affectionate wife, a good mother, a friend to all." Henry T. Ruffin (son of Dickerson and Martha Ann) B. 1863; D. 1900 "How great the loss when one so loved is taken" Winfield D. Ruffin (son of same) b 6-29-1851; d. 5-4-1921 "They who knew him best will bless his name and keep his memory dear while life shall last." Mollie E., dau. of James & Emily Hearn & wife of W. D. Ruffin b. 8-13-1850; d. 4-24-1897 "At rest" Walter W. Ruffin (son of Winfield and Mollie Ruffin) b. 10-200-1876 d. 3-19-1960 Waverley T., son of L.D. and Sarah Ruffin, b. 9-6-1896; d. 12-14-1898 "Of such is the kingdom of heaven." Also buried amongst the Ruffins: Rosa D., wife of O.S. Woody b. 7-8-, 1878; d. 4-1-1900 "My debt is paid." (I have no idea who she may be -- perhaps a grandaughter of Dickerson's?)
