STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA      COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS,
EDGECOMBE COUNTY
March Term, 1814

JOSEPH ARRINGTON and wife, and HENRY RICKS

                                    Vs.
The Heirs of ROBERT RICKS and others

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, RHODA 
BATTLE, JOAB HORN and NANCY, his wife, JOEL DENSON and NANCY, his wife, 
MOURNING WOOD, WILLIE HORN,  and JOBE HARE , are inhabitants of the State of 
Georgia. It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for 
three months  in the Raleigh Minerva, that unless the said Defendants appear 
at our next Court to be held for the County of Edgecombe, in the Court House 
at Tarboro’, on the 2nd  Monday in September  next, then and there to answer 
the Bill of Complainants, the Bill shall be taken pro confesso and heard 
exparte as to them.
