This Indenture made this tenth day of August one thousand eight hundred and ten between William DuVal and Mary his wife of the county of Edgecombe and State of North Carolina of the one part and Benjamin DuVal of the City of Richmond and State of Virginia of the other part witnesseth that the said William DuVal and Mary his wife hath bargained and sold unto the said Benjamin DuVal one certain lot of land in the Town of Manchester containing half acre the same more or less for the sum of one hundred dollars in hand paid by the said William DuVal and Mary his wife doth hereby acknowledge themselves contented and paid for the aforesaid lot of land lying and being in the Town of Manchester, County of Chesterfield and State of Virginia and known in the plat of said Town of Manchester by being the number of eighty one. Together with all houses, orchards, woods, waters and water courses thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said Benhamin DuVal his heirs or assigns forever and the said William DuVal and Mary his wife doth hereby forever warrant and defend the said lot of land and promises to the only proper use and behoof(?) of him the said Benhamin DuVal against the claim or any person or persons whatsoever.
