If I am not mistaken the Hargrove family in the mid 1800s owned land near the intersection of Old Wilson Road and Pleasant Hill Road. Gray Armstrong owned land at that intersection and on the west side of Old Wilson Road and along Vestal Raod. On the east side of Old Wilson Road and south side of Pleasant Hill Road, where the John N. Taylor cemetery is located, was a large tract of Proctor land and some of it is still in the Proctor family today. A branch of Little Cokey Swamp crosses that land just to the east of the intersection that, I think was later called Horns Branch. May be jumping the gun a little but think this is very interesting.
