DEED BETWEEN KINCHEN EDWARDS & SIMON EDWARDS
EDGECOMBE COUNTY DEED BOOK 14, Page 90
Dated 24 August 1811


This indenture made this 24th day of August in the year of our Lord one 
thousand eight hundred and eleven between SIMON EDWARDS of the county of 
Edgecombe and state of North Carolina of the one part and KINCHEN EDWARDS of 
the county and state aforesaid of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said SIMON EDWARDS for and in consideration of the sum of 
one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said KINCHEN EDWARDS at or 
before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged and himself therewith satisfied contented and paid have 
given granted bargained and sold alined? offered and confirmed and by these 
presents do sell and set over ???convey and confirm unto the said KINCHEN 
EDWARDS his heirs and assigns forever one tract or parcel of land lying and 
being in the said county of Edgcombe on the North side of the LITTLE SWAMP 
bounded as follows viz;  Beginning at a gum tree in the said SWAMP NATHAN 
ETHEREDGE & MORGAN's corner thence North along MORGAN line to WILLIAM I. GILLS
line then North West to a pine at a made corner thence along a line of 
marked trees to the said LITTLE SWAMP to the first station containing SIXTY 
ACRES more or less to give and to hold the said tract of land containing 
sixty acres more or less to the said KINCHEN EDWARDS his heirs, executors 
administrators and assigns & I the said SIMON EDWARDS myself my heirs 
executors administrators will forever warrant and defend the said land and 
premises with the priviledges and appunterances thereon to belonging or will 
appertaining unto him the said KINCHEN EDWARDS, his heirs executors 
administrators and assigns clear and free from the lawful claim property or 
demand of all and every person or persons whatsoever and against all courts, 
sutes and would be respecting the same . In witness whereof I the said SIMON 
EDWARDS, have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written.
