Whereas by Indenture made the twenty fifth day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty nine and in the twenty second year of the reign of our Soverign Lord George the second by the Grace of God King of Great Britain & c signed by the Hon'ble Edward Moseley Esq agent for his Excellency John Earl Granville, was given, granted, bargained, sold & confirm'd unto Collo. Co containing 100 acres and the other two in Granville Co, one of which is on both sides of Swift Creek containing 300 acres and the other plantation on the said Swift Creek and is the plantation whereon the said Hopkins Wilder now lives containing 290 acres and on the same is a grist mill and the said Negro man, David, but if said Jonathan Godwin or one of his heirs shall pay said Hopkins Wilder the sum of one shilling & seven pence Va, with lawful interest, said sell shall be void.
