This Deed, made this the 20th day of November, 1898, by Hilliard Webb and 
wife, Ada Webb, John Webb and wife, Letty Webb, of Wilson County, and Easel 
Webb and wife, Pattie Webb, Perry Webb, and Fannie Webb, of Edgecombe County; 
all the parties above written are of the first part, and of the State above 
written, and David Webb, Lena Walston and Cora Webb, of Edgecombe County and 
State above written, of the second part.

Witnesseth: That for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty 
dollars to us, the first party, in hand paid by said party of the second part, 
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and ourselves fully satisfied, 
and paid, have bargained and sold and delivered, and by these presents do 
bargain, sell and convey and deliver unto the party of the second part our 
entire interest in one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being 
situated in Edgecombe County, known as the late Dempsey Webb home tract, and 
said title and interest descended to us as heirs of the said Dempsey Webb, 
bounded as follows:

Beginning at a light wood stake, then along a line near northeast to a light 
wood stump, Jesse Harrell's line; then along said line to a black gum, a corner 
tree; then down a slash to Aughtrey Creek; then up the various courses to the 
mouth of said crooked branch; then up said branch to John Webb's corner; then 
near a east course to the beginning, containing by estimation fifty-eight 
acres, more or less.

To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land unto them, the party of 
the second part, and their heirs forever.

And we, the party of the first part, do hereby covenant and agree to warrant 
and defend the right, title and interest in the above bargained premises, 
together with all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in 
anywise appertaining, free from the lawful claims, property or demands of any 
and all persons whatsoever.
