P. Harris, party of the second part, all of said State and County. Witnesseth: That the parties of the first par in consideration of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7500.00) paid and secured to be paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained, and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, the following described tracts of lands. First Tract: lying and being in Wilson County, North Carolina, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a black gum in Autrey Creek at the mouth of a small branch, a corner with Ruffin Hyman, thence up the various courses of said creek to a stake, a corner with the Kinchen Walston land, thence S 6.15 W 16.95 chains to a stake and pine stump a corner with Rueben Owens and the Jesse Harrell land, thence with the Jesse Harrell line S 86E 27.84 chains to a stake, a corner with Ruffin Hyman N 5.30 W 16.95 chains to a stake on the road at the head of a small branch leading to Autreys Creek, thence down the various courses of said branch to the gum in Autreys Creek the first beginning, containing 591/2, more or less, and being a part of the same tract of land conveyed to the said Wiley Webb by M. B. Pitt and wife, Martha Pitt, and known as the Brinkley land, and conveyed to Hardy Webb by Wiley Webb and wife by deed dated the 14th day of November, 1912, registered in Book 98, page 14, Public Registry of Wilson County. Second Tract: Lying and being in Edgecombe County, North Carolina, bounded as follows: Adjoining the lands of Jesse Harrell, Amos Harrell, J. H. Corbett and others, beginning at a black gum in Hog Pen Branch and running up said branch to a light wood post, Amos Harrell’s corner, thence near West along Amos Harrell line to a light wood post in Otter’s Creek run, thence down the run of said Creek to a light wood post, J. H. Corbett’s corner, thence nearly south to the beginning being the land conveyed to Hardy Webb by Brinkley W. Webb and wife, Litha Webb and L. D. Webb and wife, Dennie Webb, by deed dated December 31st, 1904, registered in Book 116, page 137, Edgecombe Registry. Containing 64 acres more or less. To Have and To Hold said land and promises, together with all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining, to him, the said W. P. Harris, his heirs and assigns, to their only use and behoof (sic) forever. And the parties of the first part, on the part of themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators, covenants to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that they are seized of said promises in fee and have a right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free and clear from all encumbrances, and that they will forever warrant and defend the title to the same against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever hands and seas, the day and date first above written.
