A considerable portion of this tract, which as a body, is considered equal at least to any other of its size in the State of North Carolina, is rich stiff tobacco land with red soil—part of it has a loose grey soil upon which the growth is principally hickory – and another part of it is rich low grounds, admirable adapted to the culture of grasses. On it are a pretty good dwelling house and an excellent granary; plus many other smaller houses intended for different uses. A prompt payment in cash, equal to one sixth of the amount of the purchase money will be required; for the balance, bonds with approved security, bearing interest from the date and payable as such, periods as my attorney will mention, will be received. Any person inclinable to purchase may obtain a view of the premises by applying to my friends, CAPT. BENJAMIN WARD and MR. JOHN ALSTON, or either of them. Letters addressed to me at Nashville will be attended to. Warren County, Sept. 5, 1806 THOMAS E.
