   -- It is with the most painful feelings that we announce the sudden death 
on Monday last of DR. DAVID DANCY, a citizen of Tarboro. He had been to 
Williamson to attend the funeral of his brother-in-law, MR. HENRY B. HUNTER, 
Clerk of Martin County Court, who died on the preceding Wednesday, and 
returning on Saturday evening, at the residence of MRS. SLADE, near 
Williamton, the Doctor in attempting to get into his gig, startled the horse, 
which commenced kicking and unfortunately bruised him in such a manner as to 
occasion his death early the next morning before any medical assistance could 
be procured. Thus has an amiable and tender-hearted woman been almost 
simultaneously been deprived of a brother and a husband. -- Tarboro Free Press
