ROBERT HEATH LANGSTON

   Robert Heath Langston, 76, died Tuesday afternoon, July 6, at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. W.E. Johnson, on Chestnut Street after an illness of several 
months. He was formerly of Speed, N.C., but had made his home here for the past 
four years.

   Mr. Langston was the son of the late B.J. and Mrs. Chelly Howell Langston of 
Speed, and a member of the Speed Episcopal Church and of the Woodmen of the 
World.

   Besides Mrs. Johnson he is survived by two other daughter, Mrs. Fred Farrar 
of Wilmington, N.C., and Miss Blanche Langston of Wilson, N.C.; four 
grandchildren and three great-grandchldren; and a sister, Mrs. J.H. Kirkman, of 
Durham, N.C.

   Funeral services for Mr. Langston were held Thursday afternoon at 3:30 
o’clock at the Episcopal Church in Speed. Interment was in the cemetery at 
Tarboro.
