The Standard of Raleigh, June 24, 1863
   DIED in the Hospital at Tarboro, North Carolina, on the 28th of May, 1863, 
of measles, BENJAMIN H. SKEEN, of the 42nd Regiment, North Carolina Troops. 
This young man was beloved and respected by all who knew him, and leaves a 
large circle of relatives and firends to mourn the loss of one, who but a few 
weeks ago mingled among them. He died far from home with no realtives near to 
cheer his last hours, but we have the consoling hope that his end was peace.
