Edgecombe County, NC – Mary Louise Rives Wiggins, 1974 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sister of Local Resident Dies Mrs. Mary Rives Wiggins, 92-year-old resident of RFD 3, Tarboro, died early Tuesday morning in Edgecombe General Hospital at Tarboro following a short critical illness. Born August 4, 1881, daughter of the late Peter and Mary Louise Worsley Rives. She had spent most of her life in Edgecombe County. She was married to Fred L. Wiggins who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Pinetops Presbyterian Church. She was a sister of the late Ben Long Rives whose widow lives in Williamston. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Gorham of Rocky Mount, and Mrs. Mary Earl Nettles of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sons, F.L., Jr., and John Lawrence Wiggins, both of Rocky Mount; a sister, Mrs. Vivia (M.D.) Wilson of Williamston; a brother, Frank Rives of Tarboro; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3:30 from the Carlisle Funeral Chapel in Tarboro by the Rev. D. K. Snyder and the Rev. Charles Penick. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Tarboro. Note: No indication of the date and newspaper was on the newspaper clipping of this obituary. Most likely, it appeared in the Rocky Mount, N.C.
