	Boon, Susanah, 1821, Edgecombe County Estates, NC State Archives, 
CR.037.508.14.  Petition to divide (         ), Nov. Ct. 1821, John 
Garrett and Susannah, his wife, formerly Susannah Boon, James Barron 
and Patsy, his wife, formerly Patsy Boon, Bolling Boon, stating that 
their mother, Susannah Boon died in the month of  (month & year not 
stated), having made and published her will which was duly proved in 
Northampton Co. Court and Dempsy Jenkins, the executor and that she, 
among other bequests devised to petitioners Susannah, Patsy, Bolling 
and Temperance, (an infant under the age of 21) her heirs at law.  
Above mentioned heirs were to receive one Negro woman Sarah and her 
increase to be divided equally among them, amounting to eight Negroes.  
Petitioners request division of said Negroes, who have all been removed 
to Edgecombe Co.  Isaac Norfleet, Josiah Freeman, Starling Waller, 
Reading Sugg and Willis Welkins were appointed commissioners.  
Apparently Dempsy Jenkins was appointed guardian of Temperance.
