Written: 1915

	Braswell, Eliza J., Edgecombe Co., date of will 27 July 1905, date 
recorded 25 March, 1915, Will Book J, page 99, “being of sound mind, but 
considering the uncertainties of my earthly existence”... to F.H. Cutchin, 
trustee, in trust for the use and benefit of my son,  Charles B. Braswell, 
during and for the term o his natural life, my farm in Edgecombe Co. 
adjoining the lands of the heirs of the late A. Braswell, Dr. R.H. Speight, 
Fishing Creek and the same lands devised to me by my father, Josiah Cutchin, 
deceased, said Charles is to have full use of land and proceeds but not the 
power to sell or convey said land, if said Charles leaves a child or children 
at his death, said child or children are to have land in fee simple, but if 
Charles dies without children, land is to descend to my daughter, Lillian M. 
Cutchin and her heirs in fee simple but if Charles dies without leaving 
sufficient support for his wife, Maria Isabelle Braswell, said Maria is to 
receive one half of profits from land for her life or widowhood and said 
Lillian to receive   the other half; daughter Lillian M Cutchin is to receive 
all other property both real and personal ; my son, Charles B. Braswell on 
the 1st of Apr. 1898 executed to Lillian M. Cutchin his note in the sum of 
$1002.08 secured by me, if this debt is not paid before my death, note is to 
be paid from rents of my land devised to said Charles at the rate of $100 
annually; the note signed by my younger daughter, Lillian M. Cutchin which I 
hold is NOT to be paid; F.H. Cutchin is to be appointed my executor, signed 
Eliza J. Braswell, wit. S.R. Fountain, T.T.  Moore. Abstracted from copy of
