Written: 1765

	Braswell, James, Edgecombe Co., will date 27 Sept. 1760, date recorded 
Jan Ct. 1765, “being in good health and of sound mind and memory”; Item- to 
my son Joseph Braswell one feather bed and furniture which is now in his 
possession; Item- to my son James Braswell one feather bed and furniture 
which is now in his possession; Item- to my son Benjamin Braswell one feather 
bed which is now in his possession; Item- to my daughter Sarah (Cain) one 
feather bed which is now in her possession; Item- to my daughter Olive 
Stinson (could be Hinson) one feather bed which is now in her possession; 
Item- to my son Simon Braswell my plantation and tract of land which I now 
live on containing 400 acres of land, also all my stock of cattle, hogs, and 
all my household goods & furniture after his mother’s death; Item- I make my 
loving son Simon my sole executor, signed James Braswell (mark, possibly J), 
wit. John Davis (mark), (Nathaniel) Ruffin, appears to be Nathaniel but will 
proved by Saml. Ruffin.  NOTE: IN WILL BOOK (FILM) SARAH CAIN APPEARS TO BE
