Written: 1931

	Braswell, Lincy, Edgecombe Co., will date 24 Jan 1918, date recorded 
1931, “being of sound and disposing mind and memory”... to the children of my 
sister, Fannie Powell, $5, each; to the children of my sister, Mary Griffin, 
$5 each; to the children of my sister, Martha Taylor $5 each; to the children 
of my brother Bullock Braswell, $5 each; to the children of by brother David 
Braswell $5 each; to my beloved nephew, Daniel Powell all of the estate and 
interest of every kind I may have in that tract of land known as the Thomas 
Dickerson land, lately owned by Wiley Braswell, adjoining the land formerly 
owned by Sherrod and Mayo and lands now owned by Robert Bullock, Jacob 
Bullock and Charlie Ruffin, containing 56 acres and is the same land where I 
now live; the said Daniel Powell has this day agreed to pay me $500 per annum 
for use of said land for the rest of my life; I appoint my nephew, Daniel 
Powell executor, signed (Lincey) Braswell, wit. J.W. Raynor, W.C. (Winstead).
