Written: 1801

	Braswell, Admiral 1801 estate file; Aug. Ct. 1801, petition of 
James Bracewell, JR. states that his brother, Admirall Bracewell 
departed this life in the month of April last, intestate, seized and 
possessed a tract of about 200 acres of land bounded by the lands of 
Richard Bracewell, Gary Fort, and Riddick Bracewell and petitioner; 
James Bracewell, Richard Bracewell, William Bracewell, Riddick 
Bracewell, Elizabeth Boykin, William Britt and Polly, his wife, Lamon 
Cohoon and Nelly, his wife, Topin Bracewell and Charrity Bracewell are 
all equally entitled to said land, share and share alike as brothers 
and sisters of the said Admiral Bracewell, dec’d. and they ask that the 
court appoint five commissioners to lay off and divide said land, 
signed James Bracewell, Richard Bracewell.  Marked “granted” and signed
