	Braswell, John (Brasil) 1798 estate file; Petition of Zadock 
Brasil stating that John Brasil late of Edgecombe Co. died sometime in 
May 1798 intestate leaving James Brasil, Cely Ruffin, wife of (       ) 
Ruffin, Lemon Brasil, Permenter Brasil, Zadock Brasil, Simon Brasil, 
Winny Williams, the wife of Burrel Williams, and Polly Ruffin, the 
daughter & heir of Milly Ruffin, dec’d. his heirs at law as tenants in 
common to distributive shares of a tract of land which said testate 
died seized and possessed of on the north side of Town Creek containing 
125 acres, bounded on the west by the lands of the orphans of Thomas 
Mercer, and the lands of (Cas??) (Ruth) on the east and north by the 
lands of (David) Spicer, petitioner asks that his share of land be laid 
off for his use.  Edgecombe Co. Estates, NC State Archives
