	Carter, Kindred, will date 14 May, 1777, October Court, 1777, also 
Nov. Ct., 1810, also Feb. Ct., 1819, Edgecombe County, NC, will abstracts:  
Wife: Mary, 6 negroes, plantation where I live, all land, stock, household 
furniture and remainder of my estate, except otherwise devised, reversion to 
my grandson, Moses Carter Knight.  dau: Priscilla Knight, 4 negroes; dau: 
Charity Knight, 5 negroes, likewise negroes now in her possession during life 
of herself and husband Moses Knight.  dau: WINNEFORD TAYLOR, 4 negroes; dau: 
Penelope Whitaker, 4 negroes.  Exec.: James Knight, Carey Whitaker.  Wit: 
Exum Lewis, Coulam Winstead, Peter Tatum.
