Nov. Ct. 1843, Elizabeth Clark, widow of William Clark, petitions court for her years provisions from the estate of her deceased husband, William Clark, who departed this life in October last. Nov Ct. 1843 order to Spencer S. Hart, Esq. JP, to appoint Robert D. Hart, Robert Wimberly, Henry Hyman, freeholders, as commissioners to lay out a years provisions to Elizabeth Clark, widow of William Clark for herself and family, signed Jon. Norfleet. Commissioners laid off 400 pounds of pork, 5 barrels of corn, 25 pounds of sugar, 10 pounds of coffee, 5 gallons of molasses, one bed and furniture, one wheel and cart, one lam, one cow, (one barrel of salt), Jan 9, 1844, signed Henry Hyman, R.D.
