of the county road, the River Road, W.L. Thorpes corner then north 5d 
40' east 52 chains and 55 links to a spike Louis Sumners corner then 
north 78d 45' east 11 chains and 75 links to a spike in (Louis 
Sumners)line corner of lot #2 then with the line of lot #2 south 5d 40' 
west 59 chains and 33 links to an iron spike in the center of the road 
then with the road north 73d 45' west 8 chains and 3 links then north 
57 west with the road 4 chains to the beginning, containing 63 acres, 
set apart to Ernest Daughtridge and valued at $441 and to receive the

courses of Big Compass Creek 34 chains to the mouth of the said creek 
at Tar River then up the various courses of Tar River 78 chains to the 
beginning, containing 115 acres valued at $588.90 and allotted to 
Elijah L. Daughtridge and charged the sum of $27.34 to be paid to lot 
#6; lot #12 in Edgecombe Co beginning at a rock in the east boundary 
line of the W&W Rail Road corner of lot #7 then with the line of lot 
#7, 8, 9 & 10 south 69 east 44 chains and 20 links to a sycamore 24 
inches in diameter standing on the west bank of Tar River, corner of 
lot #10 then up the various course of Tar River 28 chains and 50 links 
to a hornbeam 3 inches in diameter, corner of lot #13 then with the 
line of lot #13 north 69 west 26 chains and 25 links to an iron stake 
in the east boundary line of the W&W Rail Road then with the boundary 
line of said road north 21 east 20 chains to the beginning, containing 
65.61 acres, N.B. (Mrs J.J. Battle, owns one acre of land included in 
the above description of lot #12 and the said acre is opposit Little 
Falls, which we value at $623.29 and allotted to Alma Daughtridge and 
charged with the some of $4.37 paid to lot #3 and $57.36 to be paid to 
lot #6; Lot #13 in Edgecombe Co beginning at an iron stake in the east 
boundary line of the W&W Rail Road corner of lot #12 then with the line 
of lot #12 south 69 east 26 chains and 25 links to a hornbeam 3 inches 
in diameter standing on the west bank of Tar River then up the various 
courses of Tar River 71 chains to a rock in the east boundary of the 
W&W Rail Road then with the boundary line of said road north 21 east 25 
chains and 44 links to the beginning, containing 85.5 acres allotted to 
Ada Daughtridge and charged against lot #13 the sum of $14.93 to be 
paid to lot #4 and 10 cents paid to lot #3 and 12 cents to lot #6;
