Edgecombe County, NC - Wills - Webb, John Jr. File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Jo Webb STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA EDGECOMBE COUNTY I JOHN WEBB, JR. of the County of Edgecombe and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory, but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existance do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say, first that my executor here after named shall provide for my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my relatives and friends, and pay all funeral expenses, together with all my just debts howsoever and to whomsoever owing out of the monies that may first come into his hands. 1. Part or parcel of my estate I first give and devise to my beloved son ELBERT WEBB, my home track of land containing one hundred thirty acres, being the same more or less and three acres on the North side of the mill branch to have and to hold to him the said ELBERT WEBB to him and his heirs in fee simple forever. 2. I give and devise to my beloved son JOSEPH WEBB a track or parcel of land known as the HINES land containing by estimation thirty-five acres being the same more or less. I also give him JOSEPH WEBB twenty-five acres of my home track of land on the south side of deep branch to have and to hold to him JOSEPH WEBB to him and his heirs in fee simple forever. 3. I give and devise to my beloved granddaughter ANALISA WEBB twenty five dollars in money to be paid to her ANALISA WEBB by my lawful executor here after named. 4. I also have one other track of land lying in the county of Wilson, which I leave to be sold by my lawful executor and the money equally divided amongest my named heirs. First my beloved son GRAY WEBB and my beloved daughter SARAH WEBB and my beloved daughter VICY HARRELL the wife of PETER HARRELL and my beloved daughter EASTER WEBB and my beloved daughter TREACY BYRUM the wife of THOMAS BYRUM and my beloved son RILEY WEBBS heirs shall have his legal part. This track of land contains one hundred and forty acres being the same more or less.
