Edgecombe County, NC - Wills - ELIZABETH RUFFIN-1851 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Virginia Crilley I, Elizabeth Ruffin of the county of Edgecomb and state of North Carolina being of sound mind and disposing memory do make publish and declare, this to be my last will and testament inmanner and form as follows to wit: 1. Item. I give and bequest to ELIZABETH F. RUFFIN one bed and staed adn all its necessary furniture and the black chest to have and to hold to her and her heirs forever. 2nd Item. I give and bequest to SALLY RUFFIN half a dozen blue edged plates, a large pot and a half dozen cups and saucers to have and to hold to her and her heirs forever. 3rd Item. I give and bequeath to POLLY RUFFIN a spider with a lid to it, a desk and a half dozen plates, to have and to hold to her and her heirs forever. 4th Item. I give and bequeath to ELIZABETH ANN THOMS one black safe, a pair of flat irons, a half dozen table spoons, one coffee pot and a glass sugar dish to have and to thold to her and her heirs forever. 5th Item. I give and bequeath to SAMUEL H. RUFFIN one bottle, a pitcher, a hard jug and a hammer to have and to hold to him and his heirs forever. 6th Item. It is my will and desire that all my clothes be equally divided between ELIZABETH FRANCES RUFFIN, SALLY RUFFIN, POLLY TAYLOR and SUSAN THOMS to them and their heir forever. 7th Item. It is my will and desire, that the balance of my property be given to SALLY RUFFIN to have and to hold to her and her heirs forever.
