I Cader Ethredg of the county of Edgecombe & state of North Carolina being in sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be god do this the eighteenth day of April in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty five make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner following, that is to say First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Ciddy Ethredg one hundred and ten acres of land lying in the county and state aforesaid. Beginning in a large (branch?) on the line between me and my brother Fredrick Running up the said (branch?) along sd Fredrick Ethredg line till it will make one hundred & ten acres by running east to Simon Edwards line including the house where I now live and all the clard ground also one sorrel mare and two of the best cows and calves & four ewes & lambs & three sows & pigs & five (?) hoggs & one feather bed and funeture & all my house hold and kitching funeture and two hundred dollars in money out of the balance of my property. I give hundred weight of bacon & fifteen barrels of corn to her and her hirs for ever and I here by make & ordain my worthy frend Thomas Thorn executor of this my last will and testament in witness I the said Cader Ethredg have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal the day and year above (written ?).
