Written: 1761

	Gay, John, will date “24th of ye third month” 1759, date recorded June 
Ct. 1761, In the name of God Amen I John Gay of Edgecombe Co.... being in 
good health in body and in perfect sound science and memory... to my beloved 
wife Sary Gay the use of all my estate her lifetime and after her decease I 
give to my (eldest sisters) son, Thomas Pitman all my hole estate to him and 
his heirs forever, signed John Gay (X), wit. Moses Pitman, Joseph Pitman.
