All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Tommy Colbert clycolbert@aol.com June 23, 2011, 1:31 pm Source: N C Archives Written: 1846 Estate records for BURRELL HILL, Petition of Thomas Hill, Asa, Talethia, Fielding & Green Hill vs. John Hill, Duffie, (Margy), Marcus & Nathan Hill, all of whom are tenants in common of a tract of land adjoining the lands of Gray Armstrong, the late Burrell Hill and others containing 496 acres, all of which will more fully appear by reference to a deed which your petitioners are ready to produce which said land descended to your petitioners and the aforesaid defendants, subject to the rights of dower of the widow of Peoples Hill upon the death of Peoples Hill who died about Apr. 1846 seized and possessed of said land and who left the said petitioners and defendants his only heirs at law and they are all of age except John, Duffie, Margy, Marcus and Nathan. Petitioners want to have a guardian appointed for underage heirs and land partitioned, signed J.L. Bridgers, attorney for petitioners. File marked 1847 and Robert Ricks, Grey Armstrong, Theophilus Thomas, Orren Bullock and Newton Taylor appointed to commission. Petition was made to Nov. Ct. 1846.
