Tice Last Will and Testament of Joseph Ing LDS FHC Microfilm #0018853 (Transcribed April, 1998) In the Name of God Amen. I Joseph Ing of the County of Edgecombe, Being Sick and Weak in Body but of Perfect mind and memory Thanks be given to god for the Same and Calling to mind the mortality of my Body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do Constitute make and Ordain this my Last will and Testament, in the following manner and form First I Send unto my Loving wife Anne Ing - During her Life the House wherein I now Live Together with one third of my Land Adjoining the Same, After her Death I give and bequethe the Said house and Land to my son Joseph Ing to him his heirs and assigns for ever Item I Give and Bequethe to my son Joseph - Ing All the Remainder of my Land to him his heirs and assigns for Ever. Provided he the said Joseph Ing shall pay to my Sons Christopher Ing and Matthew Ing when they come of Lawfull age the Sum of Ten Pounds Virginia Currency to Each of them, the said Christopher Ing and Matthew Ing. Item I Give and Bequethe to my Daughter Sarah Ing, to her and her heirs and assigns for Ever one Feather Bed, also one cow and Calf, also two breeding Sows. Item I give and bequethe to my Daughter Lydda Ing & to her heirs and assigns for Ever one Feather Bed also one Cow and Calf also Two Breeding Sows. Item the remainder of my Estate I send to my Loving wife During her Life and After her Death My will and Desire is that be Equally Divided amongst My Children Namely Joseph Ing- Sarah Ing- Lydda Ing, Christopher Ing and Matthew Ing, And I do appoint my Loving Wife Anne Ing and John House whole and Sole Executors of this my Last will and Testament utterly Disannulling all other will or wills by me before made, Ratifieing and confirming this and no other but this to be my Last will and Testament - For witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 10th Day of December Anno Domini 1773. his Joseph x Ing mark Signed Sealed, Published and - by the testator Declared to be his Last Will mark And Testament in Presents of Etheldred Exum his James X Coker Sen, Mark James Coker [Jun] Edgecombe County} October Court 1774} The within __ of Joseph Ing was Exhibited in to Court by the law and was proved by the Oath of James Coker [ ] one of the Subscribing Witnesses thereto who at the same time Swore that he saw Etheldred Exum subscribe the same as Evidence the Executors therein Named was at the same time Qualified according to Law.
