COURT appoints Weeks Parker, Permenter Braswell, Etheldred Cohoon, Peoples Hill and Robert Barnes commissioners to lay off years provisions for Polly Long, widow of John Long, dec'd, Feb. Ct. 1827. COURT ORDER to commissioners (Weeks Parker, Permenter Braswell, Etheldred Cohoon, Peoples Hill) along with Robert Barnes, Esq. To lay off years provisions for Polly Long, widow of said dec'd, Feb Ct. 1827. YEARS PROVISIONS laid off to Mary Long, widow of John Long. Commissioners viewed plantation and found 300 pounds pork, one bed and furniture, one wheel and (pr) cards. We have directed administrator to buy 191 pounds of salted pork, 7 ½ barrels of corn, 1 ½ bushels salt, three gallons molasses, five pounds sugar, five pounds coffee, four bushels wheat, 138 ½ pounds cotton. Dated 28 Mar 1827, signed Weeks Parker, Permenter Braswell, Etheldred Cohoon (X), Peoples Hill (X), Robert Barnes. COURT ORDER to sheriff to take $2.82 ½ from the goods, chattels, lands and tenements of Polly Long, widow of Long (sic), dec'd and bring to court on 4th Monday of Aug. next, issued 9 June 1827.
