WILL OF HEZEKIAH MORRIS of Halifax County, North Carolina

In the name of God amen.  I HEZEKIAH MORRISS of the County
of Halifax and State of North Carolina Bing weak of body
but of perfect Sound mind and memory do this fifteenth 
day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven Hundred and Ninety Nine make and publish this
to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and form 
following (To wit)
Item / I will that all my just debts be first paid and
	satisfied.
Item/ I give and Bequeath to my son Aquilla Morriss
     his heirs and Assigns for ever the Land and plan-
     tation whereon I know live there being Two Hundred and
     fifty acres To Negro boys (to wit) Harry and Sam
     one set of blacksmith tools one feather bed and
     furniture one pewter dish Two Basons and three
     plates.  Two cows and calves one light bay Horse
     that is called his one Walnut Desk one Iron pot
     one silver watch four sheep two sows & pigs.
Item ) I give and bequeath to my Daughter Priscil
     la Morriss one feather bed and furniture one 
     pewter Dish two basons and three plates two cows
     and calves one Chest one flax wheel one Loom
     one saddle one Iron pot and one Negro woman
     That is called Esther and Ben
Item ) I give and bequeath to my Daughter Rebackah
     Counsel one Negro girl named Violet.
Item )and at 
    the Death of my said wife my disire is that it be equal
    ly Divided Between my son Acquilla and my Daug
    hter Priseilla Morriss share and share alike.
Item ) My will and Desire is that all the remainder
    part of my Estate which is not given away in
    my will Both real and personal be sold by
    my Executors and the money arising from
    said sale be Equally Divided Between all my 
    Children and wife share and share alike.
Item ) I do nominate and appoint Holloway Morriss and
    Acquilla Morriss to be Executors to thsi my last will
    and testament and do hereby Disanul and Revoke
    all former wills hreto fore by me made and do
    publish and declare this to be my last will &
    Testament in presence of     )
