	Proctor, Absalom, 1858 file, Edge. Co. estate records, 
CR.037.508.101, NC State Archives, petition by John Proctor, adm., to 
sale slaves of Absalom Proctor, dec'd, who had died this year, John 
Proctor was appointed admin. by Aug. Ct., petition was dated Nov. Ct. 
1858, sale of slaves was held 13 Dec. 1858, Slaves: Lucy Haywood to Wm. 
W. Daughtridge for $1000; Berry Heywood to Wm. Daughtridge for $1000; 
Jenny (no last name given) to J.L. Proctor for $390; Cherry to A. 
Proctor for $475; Delha to Moses Moore for $585; sold by John proctor.
