DOWER LANDS LAID OFF and allotted for Mary Proctor, widow of Frederick Proctor, dec’d. beginning at a red oak on the south side of the road leading from Permenter Braswell to William Cohoon, south 86west 42 poles north 69 west along the road 68 poles then along said road 88 west 48 ½ poles to Cohoon’s mill Branch then up the various courses up said branch to an old gum stump on the west side of Cohoon’s Mill Tail then east along (Simion) Cohoon’s line to a black jack then to the beginning containing 115 acres including the dwelling house, 21 Sept. 1810, signed by commissioners, Weeks Parker, Noah Williams, Jediah Holliman, Joshua Taylor, Peoples Hill, Elijah Moore, Charles Barnes, Zadock Braswell, Edwin Braswell, Permenter Braswell, Nathan Tart, Jetty Griffin. PETITION OF CATON TAYLOR to divide the lands of Frederick Proctor, dec’d. among lawful claimants, including his wife, Mary, who has arrived at the legal age of 21 years. Petition granted at Aug. Ct. 1823 Weeks Parker, Gray Armstrong, Moses Spicer, Etheldred Cohoon, Robert Barnes appointed as commissioners to divide said land.
