	Proctor, Moses, Estate file, NC State Archives, Edgecombe Co. 
Estates, CR.037.508.102.  PETITION of Elizabeth Proctor vs James 
Deloach, adm. And Joseph Pitman, guardian to the heirs of M. Proctor; 
stating that Moses Proctor, late of this county in his lifetime and at 
his death was seized and possessed of a tract of land on Cokey Swamp 
bounded by the lands of Moses Coleman, Unity (Musgrove or Hargrove), 
and Frederick Proctor, containing 326 acres, she was “legally joined” 
to the said Moses in his lifetime in peaceful matrimony and asks to 
have her legal dower.  Order of Dower granted.  Not signed or dated 
except year 1796, Feb. Court.
