Proctor who had died without will and testament and John Proctor applies for administration, his (mom) Nelly E. Proctor having renounced in his favor, estate is valued at $10,000 and said Nelly, of full age and his children, Della Proctor, Georgiana, Bunyan, Cadmus and Penny Proctor, infants residing in this county, signed 3 Nov 1870, John Proctor. COMPLAINT of Nellie E. Proctor, widow of Orren J. Proctor, pltf vs (Nancy) D. Proctor, Georgeanna E. Proctor, Orren B. Proctor, Cadamus (W) Proctor, Penelope E. Proctor, defts; Orren J. Proctor has recently died leaving the plaintiff, his widow and the defendants , Mary D. Proctor, Georgeanna E. Proctor, Orren B. Proctor, Cadamus W. Proctor, Penelope E. Proctor who are all infants under 14 years of age without general guardian, his children and only heirs at law and all reside with the plaintiff in Edgecombe County; said Orren J. Proctor died seized and possessed of two tracts of land, both adjoining the lands of B.W. Brown, John J. Killebrew and others, one containing about 400 acres and the other about 400 acres, the last tract as tenants in common with W.E. Bradley, both owning ½ interest; Nellie is entitled to dower in said real estate and asks that her dower be assigned from the first tract, signed B.H. Bunn, atty for plaintiff, (Dec) 1870. Killebrew, D.W. Lancaster, B.J. Lancaster, A. Daughtridge, Joshua Bullock. SUIT of N.E. Bradley and wife, Caroline E. Bradley vs Mary D. Proctor, Georgeanna E. Proctor, Orren B. Proctor and Penelope E. Proctor, all infants under 14 years of age residing with their mother, Nellie E. Proctor in Edgecombe County without general guardian, defts., plaintiff alleges that on 1 Sep 1869, plaintiff, N.E. Bradley and one Orren J. Proctor purchased a tract of land and took a deed as tenants in common; Orren J. has since died leaving his children as his only heirs, 1- Adelia Proctor who has since died without issue leaving her brothers and sisters as her heirs at law, 2- Mary D. Proctor, 3- Georgeanna E. Proctor, 4- Orren D. Proctor, 5- Cadamus Proctor, 6- Penelope Proctor; suit states that N.E. Bradley and six named defendants are tenants in common of land, ½ to N.E. Bradley and 1/5 each to defendants except Adelphi who died without issue, leaving her share to her five siblings; N.E. Bradley asks for partition of land, signed B.H.
