Co, PETITION FOR YEARS PROVISIONS of Harriett, widow of Thomas Proctor, dec’d of Edgecombe Co stating that Thomas Proctor departed this life in 1859, intestate and Theophilus Thomas has obtained Letters of Administration and petitioner asks for years provisions, court appointed W.W. Parker, JP, Robert Ricks, Alford Daughtridge & W.M. Daughtridge. YEARS PROVISIONS allotted to Harriett Proctor consisting of one lot of 11 hogs, 700 pork, all the corn on hand, (12) bushels wheat, 60 pds lard, 4 bushels salt, ( ) gallons molasses, 50 pds brown sugar, 40 pds coffee, 1 pd spice, 1 pd pepper, 1 pd ginger, 2 pds soda, 50 pds soap, 10 gallons vinegar, 34 pds picked cotton, 10 bushels peas, 3 1/3 stacks fodder, 1 lot sweet potatos, all the greens in the garden, all poultry on hand, 22 Nov 1859, signed W.W. Parker, JP, Robert Ricks, A. Dautridge, Wm. M. Dortridge (mark). PETITION FOR DOWER by Harriett Proctor, widow of Thomas Proctor stating that said Thomas died in July 1859 possessed of a tract of land lying on the Wilmington & Weldon RR adjoining the lands of William M. Daughtridge and others containing about 97 acres, said Thomas left his widow and children, Lucy Ann Proctor, Caroline Proctor, Della Proctor, Ellen Proctor, George Proctor and Sally Proctor, infants without guardian and said petitioner asks for her dower land to be laid off, Aug CT 1859.
