Amen. I Noah Sugg of the County of Edgecombe and state of North Carolina being now in a low State of Health but of Sound Sense and Disposing mind and memory being now desirous to dispose of all my worldly goods which it has please God to bless me with in form and manner following do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament. 1st Item I give and bequeath unto my nephew William Pettaway, son of Micajah Pettaway twenty shillings. 2nd Item I give and bequeath unto my niece Polly Pettaway daughter of Micajah Pettaway twenty shilling. 3rd Item I give and bequeath unto Micajah Pettawy five shillings. 4th Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother Lemuel Sugg to him and his heirs forever Twenty shillings. 5th Item after paying all my just debts I give and bequeath unto my Loving Brother Reading Sugg all the remaining part of my estate of ever kind and notion whatsoever which is not before given away Only removing the use of one Negro woman Rose unto my dear and loving Mother during her natural life or so long as my Exe shall see or know that she doeth not give or bestow on Micajah Pettaway in any manner the profits on any part thereof arising from the labour of the Negro Rose. 6Th and lastly, I do constitute appoint and ordain my forever trusty friends Reading Sugg and James Courtland my whole and sole executors to this my Last Will and Testament disannulling all others and denying all other Wills before by me made.
